July 2021 Project Status Update: Planning and Detailed Data Collection
With more than half of 2021 under the belt, Vera Aqua Vera Vita (VAVV) has some exciting developments to report on the two communities in Piura where Water and Sanitation Hygiene (W.A.S.H.) planning and engineering commenced in June!

Visualizing the Need for Clean Water
From the beginning, VAVV has strived to leverage partners throughout the private & public sector to build our capacity as an organization, improve our designs, tell our story, improve our operations, and provide critical expertise on topics such as strategic planning, fundraising, and project & program delivery. Earlier this year, we were able to do just that by enaging a new partner from the world of data analytics and visualization by the name of Viz for Social Good, an organization that brings together skilled volunteers in the data viz community to visualize impact and tell stories for nonprofits using data.
W.A.S.H. Planning and Engineering Commenced!
VAVV is proud to announce the commencement of planning and engineering for both Cerro de Leones and Las Mercedes! We’re excited to bring sustainable solutions to these two communities, working closely with local government agencies, contractors/consultants, and individuals to empower the people to become owners of the solutions for their own community.

Today, Nov. 3, 2020 marks the exciting commencement of Vera Aqua Vera Vita’s (VAVV) efforts to officially begin serving seven new communities in the Piura Region of Peru. The assessment phase of the project implementation process gets underway today.
After great success serving the community of Monte Castillo with the installation of a water treatment facility among other sustainable W.A.S.H. initiatives, VAVV now lends a much-needed hand to seven new communities within the Piura Region.
A&M University Partners with VAVV to Provide Engineering Support
Developing partnerships with local resources is part of making things work within the nonprofit sector, where groups and individuals share their skills and knowledge to enhance projects and help each other meet specific goals. These partnerships are also beneficial to lessen the high cost of contracting specialized consultants.
